Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to skip weekly inside my column. This week I is going to be reviewing 5 great tech necessities and tech 'I want that'. This week includes intros to;

Lexar continues to be synonymous with storage and memory for a long time. Since the inception with this column, I have been fortunate to analyze most new offerings from Lexar, including flash drives, SSD drives and card readers. Last week I got a hold to two great offerings. Luckily, I have a good amount of them, so I am never without backup media. The two new drives that have been tested were the Jump Drive P10 as well as the Jump Drive S23. Both drives were immediately recognized by Windows 8, OSx Mountain Lion , Android Ice Cream Sandwich and Ubuntu 12.04. The larger of the two flash drives (The P10) was create with Apples time machine since the support drive. They are fast and compact. The S23 is also extra portable because it includes a key chain connection. Learn more at
iHome, continues to be producing inexpensive (see the adjective is that, and never CHEAP) accessories to your iOS devices for several years. Each device offers excellent, big sound and great value, in comparison with higher (possibly over priced) priced products. The iDL45 is yet another among those great products. It includes a lightning connector for your newest iOS products, but also a USB (dual) charging and playing port for legacy products. It also boasts a large numeric clock display, along with dual alarms as well as an AM/FM radio. The sound was unexpectedly impressive. It was able to keep track of another dock that has been larger and boasted better sound. Learn more at
So you own a Mac Book. How many times perhaps you have said '$#%^*#(, I cant believe I deleted that. What the #$%^& am I going to do now'? That being said, which was me earlier inside the week. I deleted a huge amount of files to create more room, and located that I deleted my Outlook 2011 database file. Frantically, I researched to the best recovery software. In addressing friends in the Apple Store and in addition Apple directly, a number of names emerged. The one common denominator, was Data Rescue 3 by Prosoft Engineering. Install was as close to instant as you can. Once which was done, the complete scan took about 5 minutes. Then the song 'Hallelujah' was played during my head, as I found the actual file I had wrongly (euphemism for stupidly) deleted. When restoring it, it had been fully restored and totally intact. There was NO LOSS what so ever. While there is no guarantee that your deletions is going to be recoverable, many has got the highest ratings from many users and professionals alike. Check out Data Rescue 3 on their site. And have no fear, these people have a windows version also.
Who doesn't want to spend less ? Bill Gates ? The Woz ? Warren Buffet ? Of course. For the rest of us, conserving money is a superb thing so that you can do. As you might know, some coupon sites are somewhat 'scamish' making use of their ad-ware and browser ad-ons. Well, Food on the table is just not some of those sites. It lets you find recipes, plan meal for any day, per week or longer. It will then take your data and tell the place that the ingredients will be the most affordable. It will provide you with the coupons too, therefore it really is a no brainer.
Now for any little fun. I used to have one particular gaming addiction on my iPhone. It is words with friends. At any given time, I can have as much as 10 games simultaneously. I started however, getting invites for this game called 'Candy Crush'. I never thought much about this, until I saw a fellow gymnastics parent playing it. So I downloaded it. Help me, I cant put it down. Once you have it, you will have the same. Come join me in rehab after getting in the app store.
See you next week
